Do you see this adorable, fresh, sunny face?
What, I ask you, is scary about this face? Nothing? Exactly.
“I’m Jill. This blog documents my days raising three kids, ages five and under. I love Nutella, cheezy 80’s movies and I barely know my right from my left. Truly. Welcome to my world.”
Scary? No. More like could potentially be the world’s best BFF: she’ll always have Nutella in the cupboard, and most likely won’t mind when you eat it right out of the container with a spoon…she will totally be able to hang when you suggest an entire day of speaking in quotes from John Hughes movies ONLY…and when she is constantly getting lost due to that right/left problem, she’ll actually make you look SMARTER. So, while I am COMPLETELY flummoxed as to why she’s “Scary Mommy“, I’m just going to accept it, because she rocks.
How Jill manages to make every post come out balanced, succinct, engaging…and feel like you just sat at your neighbor’s kitchen table having coffee and kvetching is beyond me, but that’s what she does. She’s a Mommy Blogger who is not limited to blogging ONLY about Mommydom. She’s genuine, and tells it like it is with grace and good humor.
Maybe she’s scary to some of you pansies out there…but, I heart her.
When she sent the shuffle, she was vacationing with the fam on the beach somewhere up North, and she warned me that it was all chill because she was gazing at the surf and sand. So, fire up the blender, mix up a batch of daiquiris, put on a sarong and enjoy the Scary Mommy Shuffle.
(Then when the kids run in demanding peanut butter and harsh your buzz, go buy the songs you loved.)
