What came first – the Online Buddy or the Real Life Friend?

More and more often, I find myself not remembering how I met the people who are dear to me. Yeah, so some of my best buddies “live in my computer” – in this fast paced, spread out community I call my life, sometimes it’s easier to connect to the online buds than it is to find the time to actually sit down in person with the local buds.

And the BEST scenario? The best is when you get to meet the online buds in person, and they become real life buds. I love it when the lines get all blurred and nothing is left but a lovely friendship!

Yeah, speaking of which…meet Cinnamazon – (aka Cinn) – of My Life Experiment. She’s all of the above. (Like Tiffani…and Ash. If you don’t recognize those names, then you need to read back posts. G’head…we’ll wait.)

Cinn is an amazing woman. A professional personal trainer/yoga instructor/health guru, she is so generous with her time and knowledge…and, damn, she knows her stuff! I swear, she should just become a life coach, because she has a really effective, easy, no – nonsense way of telling it like it is and putting you at ease simultaneously. Cinn is always reminding me to slow down and think , not by telling me to do that, but by showing me. I value that trait in her. Lord knows, I need the advice!

She’s Mom to a great son who’s off to college this Fall…and she’s totally not freaking out. (wtf? mine is three and I’m freaking out already!) She’s an awesome friend with a wonderful ear for listening and shoulder for crying. And she can be the goofiest, most adorkable fangirl you have EVER seen. Honestly – what’s not to love?!?

I’m so glad she sent me a shuffle, because I’ve long thought that her blog should be more widely read…and I’m pleased to be able to link you there. Mark my words…you’ll feel like you’ve made a friend, too.

Get a playlist! Standalone player Get Ringtones

1) Last Christmas – Leigh Nash
haha!! A Christmas song for my first shuffle song. Okay, as Christmas songs go, this one is peppy and poppy. I think I got this as a free Amazon download. It’s cute.

2) Thank You – Led Zeppelin (from the BBC Sessions)
My friend Schuyler actually schooled me about the Zep BBC Sessions earlier this year. Then my other friend Donna hooked me up. Thank You is right.

3) Ooh La La – Rod Stewart
Okay, I copied a whole crap-load of CD’s from my hubby’s collection so that he could have his own playlist (he doesn’t really like “new” music). But I have to say that I like the Scotland sound of this little ditty.

4) Long Day – Matchbox Twenty
I wanted to marry Rob Thomas after this CD came out. I listened to it over and over and over. I love his lyrics and his phrasing so @*$^% much. So what?

5) Feeling Good – Adam Lambert

(American Idol performance)You know how I feel about this guy? Gooooooooood.

6) Build Me Up Buttercup – The Foundations
I have a place in my heart for this kind of song from the 60s. My heart was further warmed by it when my son came back from a trip to Europe with this on HIS iPod…apparently it was the song their group decided on as a “listen up” song when the leader needed their attention.

7) Coming Home – Chinmaya Dunster & Niladri Kumar
I was going to cheat and skip past this one, but then realized that yoga is very much a part of who I am and I sometimes will listen to yoga music when I’m not doing yoga to refresh and remind me to be present and grateful. (yeah, playlist.com didn’t have ANYTHING by these cats, Cinn…~Ri)

8) Life is Wonderful – Jason Mraz
I am currently in love with two boys named Jason. Mraz is my current pretend husband. When my friend Laura gave me a mix CD for my birthday, it was likely the best present I got (other than an awesome crazy birthday cake I also got this year). This version of Life is Wonderful cracks me up because of the “horn” part. Which is why I love Jason Mraz…not only a brilliant writer, he’s an interesting and playful person, whose joy for life is contagious.

9) Baba O’Riley – The Who
Remember I said I copied a bunch of my hubby’s Cds? Yeah. This is one of those songs. The best thing I can say about this song is that it reminds me of the CSI shows.

10) Lover, You Should Have Come Over – Jeff Buckley (well, and here.)
How sweet I should get Jeff Buckley to end the shuffle!! Soothes my soul (and my poor, The Who-raped ears). This song is afterglow. The happy sadness of longing for your lover. ::Thud::

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of
your website? Its very well written; I love what youve
got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect
with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?

You ought to take part in a contest for one of the most useful
sites on the internet. I am going to highly recommend this site!
