Zen Mom in da hizzouse, yo.
(I have no idea why I just Snoop Dogged that sentence. Well, maybe because HE always looks very, very relaxed, too.)
Score yet ANOTHER round of bonus points for TCFB – two in a ROW, people! She’s the one who introduced me to Zen Mom, Goddess of Quirky Cool. See, TCFB loves me. She’s finding you awesome shufflers to enjoy. She’s talking up MSM. *ahem* I’m just sayin’…
So, seriously…? Zen Mom intimidates the living crap out of me. NOT because she’s not totally sweet, funny, gracious and easygoing. She IS all those things. And crazy talented. And absolutely the kind of down to earth gal everyone wants for a BFF.
Okay, maybe I’m not intimidated – maybe I’m just smitten. *sigh* She’s just so dang cool! It’s her ability to so deftly OWN the parts of her that are imperfect that has endeared her to me. She has a really graceful, easy flow to her writing that is enviable. And, this chick is SMART, I tell you –
…I’m gushing now, aren’t I…? Too much?
Well, don’t trust ME on this. Take a gander at her “About” section, why don’t ya?
I rest my case…
Haven’t reminded you in a while, so I say again: Swiper, no swiping! Support the artists; buy the music you love…

1 – So What – Pink
I love to listen to Pink whenever I’m working on web design, for some reason. The catchy beats just let me block out everything else and toe-tap my way through the html code.
2 – Just Like Heaven – The Cure
This one always takes me right back to high school. But, in my mind, it’s a “good-parts” version of high school.3 – Gone – Kelly ClarksonI’ve never watched American Idol. But, I loved Kelly Clarkson’s first album. I like to listen to this one when I’m walking – it keeps me going at at good pace with a little wiggle in my step.
4 – Kiss – Prince
This one reminds me of college. One of my college roommates was OBSESSED with Prince. We used to dance around the house late at night listening to Purple Rain on VINYL, people. Good times, good times.
5 – Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked – Cage the Elephant
Oh, I’m glad this one came up in the shuffle. It’s a “new” one for me and I just love it. I was chatting with a friend on Yahoo Messenger a few weeks ago and she said she was listening to a song she really liked. She sent me the link and I added it to my playlist right then and there. It’s impossible for me to hold my head still listening to song.
6 – Pocketful of Sunshine – Natasha Bedingfield
I actually like to do housework to this song … keeps me moving.
7 – Sister Christian – Night Ranger
Aaahhhhh. Okay, I’m a little embarrassed this one came up in the shuffle, but I’m a big girl. I can own up to my guilty pleasure for 80s rock ballads.
8 – Life is a Highway – Tom Cochrane
My first year in college, one of my girlfriends and I took a TON of roadtrips all over California and this was our theme song, we blasted it from the stereo and sang along at the top of our lungs all up and down the highways and byways.
9 – American Girl – Tom Petty
Who doesn’t love Tom Petty?
10 – Phantom of the Opera – Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
I love live theater and musicals. And I love rocking drum beats and screaming guitars. Voila! Best of both worlds right here. 😛
