First visit to Music Savvy Mom? Awesome! Go HERE quick to get caught up.
If you have a Toddler/Pre-Schooler, it’s quite possible that when you read the title of this post you immediately heard the song from Noggin/Nick Jr’s Yo! Gabba Gabba playing in your head.
NO? Well then, let me rectify that! Mainly because I don’t like to suffer alone…:
Okay, so the REASON this song is on repeat in my head this morning? Well, it’s been a rough week, my friends…
I’ve been sick as a dog the past three days, and have sorely neglected…well, everything. My house looks like monkeys on crack have been on a rampage…dirty dishes appear to be multiplying like Duggars…and laundry? Fuhgeddaboutit.
Y’all are obviously aware of the slacking off I’ve done here on the blog – thanks for being patient. I’m working on big stuff, though, so hang in there with me! Featured Guest DJs start up again on Monday, and we’ve got some doozies. And, don’t forget our Interactive Playlist … I’ll be posting that tomorrow, so if you haven’t already, shoot over and add your four songs!! You may have to register with Playlist.com, but it’s quick and free. Comment, too, on what’s already been added. 😉 This week’s theme: Who Are You?
So, back to my tale of woe…Hubs and I have a babysitter and are SUPPOSED to go out tonight on our first “date” since the kid was born (April 1, 2006, thankyouverymuch), but poor hubs has had an absolutely craptastic week at work, and looks like he needs to come home and just crash on the sofa with a beer. I need to take the munchkin to the Opthamologist this morning and then hit the grocery store, as we are flat out of all necessities (read: milk, cereal, beer and Nutella) and now…now Liam just looked at me kinda funny and said,
“Mama, I have a sick, too.”
Hence, the reason I’m running the Yo! Gabba Gabba song on repeat in my head, with the occasional Marley “Three Little Birds“ thrown in for good measure. *sigh* But, it could be worse…could be raining…
Today’s playlist…in honor of my resolve to keep a happy, childlike attitude regardless of what ELSE happens today:
Savvy Kid Music (that doesn’t suck…)
Yep, random songs taken from some of my son’s playlists. (Liam is three.) Even the Blitzen Trapper – he can sing the whole first verse.
Enjoy, and keep smiling…
