Now, I’m not observant enough to realize whether I do it mostly on Facebook, or Twitter, or here, or just mumbling to myself while I’m shuffling around in my bathrobe and slippers, looking for my Xanax. But, nonetheless…I’m pretty sure you’ve all been subject to it on occasion.
I’m not sure WHY I do it, because I have a kick ass husband, a rockin’ kid and a sweet life overall. I’m happy! I suppose I’m just one of those people who are genetically pre-disposed to heavy sighs and eye rolls. I am aware, though, that I have MUCH to be thankful for this Thanksgiving – and I am. Very thankful…
…for family. For friends. For health. For security. For freedom, and all that entails. For the folks who continue to secure that freedom, and their sacrifice. For Juan Valdez and all of his yummy coffee. For the interwebs. For organic cotton. For airlines that bring out of town company to visit, and then send them away again. For sunshine, and chocolate, and Cokes and smiles.
I’m REALLY thankful for Music. And you guys, who f0r some inexplicable reason keep coming back to share it with me. You make it even more fun.
Okay, sap-fest over. Blech.
I’m sorry I’ve been such a Slacky McSlackerson lately – this Holiday/having Company shit is seriously harshing my planning and organization. I did, however, manage to pull a “Music to Cook Turkey By” playlist out of my back pocket last night, and I’ll share that with you here. I’ll be adding to it continually throughout this evening and tomorrow, so check back and click “Play” while you’re chopping celery and onions for stuffing and bird-basting. It’ll be like we’re cooking together.
Y’know, like family. Or like caterers – whatever…
