This ain’t no place for the weary kind either, Ryan…

(If you didn’t catch that reference OR know who’s in this photo then I see my work is clearly cut out for me.)

I may be MIA the rest of the week…I’ve got a sick kiddo and I’m kinda “brain tired”…feeling the need to step back and unplug some.

Well, that, and I have a new obsession with genealogy.

(No, seriously. I need to see how much I can find about our family trees before my 14 day free trial of is up.  I’m not shelling out $300 a year until I know there’s good stuff to dig for.  MSM is cheap, yo.  I’ve gone all the way back to 300 BC on my Dad’s side, to the first Kings of Ireland!  Then I remembered that he was adopted by that family, so technically it doesn’t count …D’OH!)

Besides – you’ll never know how much you’d miss me if I’m not gone SOMETIMES, right? 😉

Oh, and it looks like the majority of you picked Scott Miller the least offensive of the Friday Fiver bunch.  As I LOVE Scott Miller – with or without his band The Commonwealth – I heartily approve.  But, I’ll give you my comments on all of that later.  Right now I have to make Liam a bland lunch for a sick tummy and then dive back into the 1930 Census rolls for Chicago.

Holla if you need me, otherwise I’ll probably see you Friday for another Fiver!

Hoping Kiddo gets better very soon! Does he have any favourite tunes that he likes to listen to when sick?

This song is so hauntingly beautiful… but Ryan’s voice sounds SO much older than he looks.

The beginning of this song reminds me of Mason Proffit’s Two Hangmen’s intro.

Have a good mental health holiday

Well I’m related to Madonna (closest is 5th cousin once removed) Celeine Dion, Angelina Jolie and a few famous Canadian’s I have no clue who they are (I think one is a hockey player). Maybe even Ellen Degeneres.

I have a murderess in my family (she and her 2nd husband killed a no good son-in-law) and a giant who appeared in the circus.

I’ve been obsessed myself over the past few days after finding a website that contained my complete family history and all for free (no having to join
