Hey, Baby. You got plans for tonight?

Yes, of course you do.

You’re going to finish dinner/homework/dishes/laundry/sports practice or whatever else normally occupies your Monday evenings.

You’re going to see that any munchkins that may be running around your house get snugged into bed…or are at least safely occupied.

You’re going to slip into something comfortable.  (I’m going with a stunning yoga pant/college sweatshirt with holes/UGGS, glasses and ponytail ensemble myself.)

You’re going to pour yourself a yummy beverage of your choice.  (I’ll be rockin’ a five year old Santa Mug filled with spiked Hot Cocoa, ’cause I just reek class, yo.)

You’re going to hit Twitter at 9:00 EST,  use the hashtag #musicmamas and join us for our first Music Mama Monday Mingle!

(“What the hell is THAT, you ask?”)

Well, it’s NOT a Twitter party – let me be INFINITELY clear about that.  There will be no frenzied question asking tonight, no scavenger hunting for answers, no ginormous prizes.

(Not that there’s anything WRONG with that.)

Nope, tonight is just going to be a get to know each other sort of deal – sort of relaxed and groovy [/Eddie Izzard], and I hope fun.  Like when you used to just hang out with your buds and talk music…remember that?  New music, old music, not yet “discovered” music – whatever.  Totally organic.

(God, I hate when that word is used for anything except produce, and I just did it myself.  BLECH.)

Then, starting next month, we’re going to carry it on with our own version of a Book Club, but with Music!  Yep, we’ll hash out some details tonight and form “The Music Mama Monthly Mingle and CD Review Club“, wherein we pick a couple CDs of different genres and spend the month checking them out…then get back together on the second Monday of December and share our thoughts.

(Yeah, we may have some prizes or questions here and there, but it’s still NOT A TWITTER PARTY.  It’s a club.  So, there.)

Anyhoo…swing on by the hashtag #musicmamas  from 9:00 to 10:00 EST tonight and say hey to some other music lovers!  Dads welcome, too.  Hell – you don’t even have to have kids.  Like I always say…Breeding Optional.  Rocking Required. ;)

xoxo

    I totally missed it… rats!

So were any CDs chosen for the not-a-book-club-listening-fest?

Not yet, pook…but, I’m going to narrow down some choices and put up a poll at The Music Mamas this week. Probably by Friday, the way this week is going! LOL
