So, who missed me whilst I was off celebrating the birth of Our Lord and the invention of spiked Egg Nog? I’m guessing at LEAST 147 of you did, because that was the total number of visitors we had last week. Bwahahaha!
I’m pretty sure I killed my blog, dude.
Eh. S’okay. I’m still going to keep it around. I have other things in the works, but as of this morning have decided that I’m way too attached to my alter ego (the logo) to ditch her. Just going to have to keep juggling three sites, I guess. (But no more than three, unless my doctor okays an intravenous form of Xanax.)
Moving along…I’m going to launch Phase 1 of the Holiday De-Decoration of Casa MSM this morning. Phase 1 consists of removing Christmas from the living areas and stashing it in a back room. Phase 2 – the actual packing up and putting away – might happen in February. Or June. Whatevs.
Ray LaMontagne & The Pariah Dogs released their new EP, Live – Fall 2010 exclusively on iTunes on December 21, 2010. Now, in mid December I was sent an advance copy for review… and in true Holiday Slacker fashion never got my ass in gear to tell you about it before the release date. *sigh*
Don’t let my delay stop you from getting this little gem NOW, though…because it is genuinely a delicious hunk of real aural delight – at turns hard and gritty, others soft and vulnerable and at all times full of the soul and the inexplicable magic that makes music beat from speakers right into your heart.
I don’t know how Ray does it, but I’m grateful.
The new EP will features 5 live recordings from the band’s 2010 Fall tour, including 3 songs from the Grammy nominated, God Willin’ & The Creek Don’t Rise.
Visit RayLaMontagne.com for more details including the complete tracklist, and check out this Vevo video for a glimpse behind the music and a live two song performance of the Grammy nominated “Beg Steal or Borrow” and “Henry Nearly Killed Me”:
Okay, Ray. Time to help me tackle some tinsel – let’s go, son…
