The Buzz

This is where you’ll be finding info as I stumble over it.  And, as it happens, I stumble alot.  And, as luck would have it, something music-related is often in the way.

Y’know…for instance:

ARTIST SPOTLIGHTS. Twitter truly is a magical place.  I started following this  Chris Blake person because of his amusing tweets – especially the ones about his kid.  Too dang cute.  Now, all this and here I was – never realizing that he was a musician.  (Dude, I can’t know EVERYTHING…) Then an article comes out listing him as the SEVENTH SEXIEST GUY ON TWITTER.  So, naturally I go check him out, and (a.) they’re right, (2.) he’s GOOD.  So a few Tweets later, and WHAMMO: he’s giving us a Shuffle and a “sorta” interview. (There WILL be a giveaway. But, not of Chris himself; just something Chris related.) Oh, and he slays dragons…but he may have told me that in confidence.  Oops.

Anyway, look for that soon, but in the meantime follow @chrisblake on Twitter, tell him I sent you, and that we’re waiting  impatiently for excited about his Upcoming Shuffle.  Oh, and this:

CONCERT REVIEWS. I’m seeing Silversun Pickups in October.  (Yo, Ash!)  I know DSB and Starrlight, two of our most die hard and well loved regulars, are going to be seeing some great shows soon.  They’ve promised to come back and give us the scoop.  You heading out to rock, and want to squee about it after?  C’mon – I’ll give you the floor.

MUSIC NEWS. Not the really huge stuff, probably – I’m way too lazy for that. (Although I AM still reeling over the whole deal with Kurt Cobain’s image being used for Guitar Hero…sheese) BUT, I will find interesting little nuggets for you to pass around the office, like for instance how I’m salivating to get my hands on the newest offering from Neil Finn’s Project – 7 Worlds Collide: The Sun Came Out. Seriously – Finns and Tweedys and Marrs – oh, my!

Well, my birthday IS coming up…hmm.
